VerseOne websites upgraded
Amongst other features, you will notice that MyVerseOne—our Support Portal and training site—features a "Keep me logged in" option. If you tick this box, then you will stay logged in for 14 days (this time is configurable); if you log in again, the time resets—meaning that, with regular visits, you need never log in again.
This "transparent login" will allow VerseOne to leverage more personalisation features within our CMS, and deliver increased convenience.
More details of the VerseOne CMS v5.0.137 will be released shortly.

Launch of new Solve helpdesk
Register for the new Solve portal here.
We are delighted to announce the launch of phase one of our new support portal. While the name, Solve, has not changed, phase one has a number of new features that will help us extend our support services. These changes include enhanced call workflow, prioritisation, escalation, and the tracking of outstanding calls.
One of the key benefits is the much-requested ability to attach files, helping with call diagnostics and resolution, a feature suggested by you directly and through feedback from the account management team.
To take full advantage of the new online portal you will need to register. You can register at http://my.verseone.com/registration.
We are currently transferring open calls from the old system, and the support team will be contacting you to advise you of the new support ticket numbers.
Phase two of My VerseOne is coming soon, which will contain additional informative and engaging content. This content is being developed based on your feedback and suggestions. If you have any comments on the portal or any additional information you would like to see, please contact Sue Allder on sue.allder@verseone.com.

Release 5.0.133
This maintenance release blends a collection of new features in the product with efficiency tools and improvements to existing modules.
The new features and improvements have been suggested by you, our customers, as part of our enhancement process, and we are very pleased to have been able to include so much new functionality in this maintenance release.
Page Feedback
VerseOne’s Page Feedback tool invites your customers and stakeholders to rate your content on a per-page basis and leave instant commentary about what they found useful, what didn’t help them, and what could be done to make your content even more targeted and effective. And because no feedback can instigate change unless you can analyse and interpret it, Page Feedback notifies you when site visitors provide their input and helps you report on visitor opinion, so that you can see page by page, or across a whole site, which content is having the best effect and why—and which departments and content editors throughout your organisation can help give best practice advice, or learn from it.
Page Templating and Placement Options Simplification
In VerseOne CMS, pages are the canvas for all of your content, and they’ve been built with users’ needs at the heart of the development process. Content editors don’t want to be locked into a small handful of inflexible page templates and styles that they can’t change to reflect the changing priorities of the site and its users. With Page Templating and Placement Options Simplification, now you can:
- Save page layouts as templates and re-use or update them on any page throughout the site
- Apply custom styles and colours to pages and individual content items with the click of a button
- Set content items to appear in the same way, in the same place, on every page in your site, or tweak them on a page-by-page basis.
Property Saved Searches
Built with estate management functionality based on input from key social housing providers, the Property Manager allows you to upload and display property information within your own website, so you don’t need to rely on third parties. Flexible, saved search criteria and online forms mean that your potential customers can always find what you have to offer and work with you directly to help satisfy their housing needs.
- Enable users to search your property portfolio and make direct enquiries straight from your organisation’s website
- Encourage users to save their searches and receive email updates when new properties with those criteria are posted.
Relaxed PECR Banner
With VerseOne’s PECR Options, you can inform your website visitors about the cookies associated with your site and give them the choice about how to handle them. However the Information Commissioner’s Office chooses to enforce these regulations—whether strictly (requiring users’ explicit acceptance of cookies) or loosely (allowing you to presume acceptance, as long as you give users the option to reject cookies)—you can easily comply with changes in the interpretation of the regulations and make sure your users have the best information and choices available to them.
- Apply a “strict” banner that asks users to actively accept cookies
- Apply a “relaxed” banner that enables analytics and Accessibility tool cookies unless users actively reject them
- Remove your cookies banner entirely, enabling all of your site’s cookies by default.
Improvements to Authentication and Registration
Many of you, especially those customers who use VerseOne's Datafish Secure Portal, need to be able to select what information you collect from your customers when they register for accounts on your site, moderate the registration process, and control what credentials they need to supply when logging in. With our improvements to Authentication and Registration, you now have far more control—and many more options—for customising this end-to-end security process.
Improvements to Forms
The easy-to-use, robust Forms Manager in VerseOne CMS is one of the most integral parts of the content management solution, and one of the most popular and versatile of VerseOne CMS’s functions.
- Set a form question to act as the "reference" for the form
- Automatically incorporate “matrix” and “killer” questions
- Add workflow to your forms with simple branching
- Apply permissions to form results and suppress personal information in responses to support data protection and Equality & Diversity governance
- View, filter, and export form responses as HTML, PDF or .csv.
Improvements to System Config Area
In 5.0.133, we've cleaned up the System Config area to make it clearer and more usable for you. Here, super-users control the main rules that your installation will follow and access certain tools to help with infrequent but complex processes. All of the options are at least available in Read-Only Mode so that you can better understand what the configuration options are.
Minor Fixes
We've done a lot of minor fixes in this release. If you have product issues logged with us in Solve, we'll be sending you the details of any fixes relating to those tickets over the next couple of weeks.
What Next?
Please get in touch with your Account Manager at VerseOne regarding the scheduling of your next maintenance upgrade and your interest in any of the new features in this maintenance release.
